Rick purchased La Belle Étoile in August 2002 and brings a sound knowledge of motorcycling and an understanding of what ‘touring bikers’ need for their rooming requirements when en-route. He also runs a European motorcycle touring company and has ridden around and over most of Western Europe. sharing his time between France and the UK. He recently decided to put La Belle Étoile to good use by offering some comfortable, competitively priced, ‘biker friendly’ B&B accommodation with the opportunity to experience the region on a short stay tour package. He is a passionate motorcyclist with extensive European touring experience and rides a Triumph Tiger 800 XCx covering over 20,000 miles a year.
Favourite two wheeled destination; Aragon and the Spanish Pyrenees.
Favourite mountain pass; the mighty ‘Timmelsjoch Hochalpenstraße’, straddling the border with Austria and Italy.
Rick holds an Advanced Riding qualifications with the IAM gained in September 2014 adding a Masters (Distinction) pass in May 2018 and RoSPA (Gold) successfully retesting in July 2019 believing in a philosophy of continuous development and self-improvement on the bike.
